Costa Ricaiguanas

  • One of the first ones I saw--the day after we arrived. It was right on our yard in front of our villa. I find them so beautiful.
  • Up in the tree top. This was during our boat tour in the Palo Verde National Park. We're on the Tempisque river.
  • Palo Verde National Park on the banks of the rive.
  • Palo Verde National Park, up on the ridge.
  • During a walk on the grounds around our villa. Any little rustling noise we heard could be a sign of an iguana scuttling away.
  • Right in the gardens beside the pool at Villas Playa Samara.
  • Seen during the walk around the horse pasture.
  • Very common sight. They seem to love the heat from the tiled roof tops, and maybe the vantage point for catching breakfast. We encountered no mosquitos at all so maybe that was thanks to these guys.<br /> ??
